Allergies are hell, especially with animal based ones. It's always people who love animals that get the curse of being allergic to the animal fur, meaning that the dreams of having a furry friend gets chucked out the window, unless you choose to suffer for the cause. But there is a loophole: there are many pets that are actually hypoallergenic, meaning its incredibly unlikely to set you off when your furry friend is around.
1: Poodles
Whether its a pure bred poodle or a poodle cross, poodles are one of the hypoallergenic dog breeds, making them perfect pets. Popular breeds such as cockapoos fall into this category due to the lack of shedding, as it's the dander in the air that sets allergies off.
2: Bichon Frise
This one may surprise you because they're ultimately a ball of fluff! The fact is, they hardly shed or drool, meaning you can shower them with affection without causing yourself to suffer. They're an incredibly loveable breed and their small size make them a perfect dog to cuddle up with!

You'd think that you'd be stuck to a hairless cat if you're allergic but that's where you're wrong! And you don't necessarily have to look far as, surprisingly, Siberian cats are hypoallergenic which definitely is unexpected due to the balls of fluff that they are. Their skin produces less of the chemical associated with cat allergies according to the Siberian Cat Club.
4: Bengal Cats
If you want something a little out of the ordinary, a Bengal cat is the way to go. They are regal in their looks and graceful in movements, created from hybrids of domestic cats, especially the spotted Egyptian Mau, with the Asian leopard cat. They are gorgeous to look at and very athletic cats that are good with the family and highly intelligent according to statistics on Cattime.
5: Syrian Hamster
Although they're not technically hypoallergenic, hamsters are incredibly unlikely to set off any allergies due to the limited shedding and confined space they live in. Syrian hamsters are low maintenance pets that are a joy to watch due to their inquisitive and energetic nature. You need to make sure to give them enough space in their cage but the confinement of them and lack of shedding make them amazing pets for hypoallergenic people.
